I ordered my food online and it was ready when I came for pick up, food was hot and good! I was in the mood for some soul food and that hit the spot! I been going to Souther blues since I was in high school food still hits!
I wanted something good, and I didn't want to cook. Mission accomplished! I ordered pork ribs, collard greens, and mac and cheese. The ribs were tender and seasoned. Very good sauce and gave extra sauce on the side. The greens were delicious. I think they got somebody's grandmother back there! The cornbread had a sweet and little cinnamon taste to it that I loved. Ya'll didn't fool me with the brown and serve dinner rolls though. The staff was pleasant and efficient. I will definitely be back to try other things on the menu.
The food was delicious! They were very patient with my 77yr old Mom who ordered over the phone lol. If you are in the are you should check them out.
This restaurant took me way back in time a time in my younger years in South Carolina when I used to work on the fields, raising cattle, the hospitality and atmosphere was absolute. It really gives you that southern home. Comfort feeling you know you get down south I wish there were more restaurants out herethat catered to their customers and audience. In such a manner we will be back. Thank you.
I ordered a whiting dinner with string beans, potato salad, and a side of candied yams. The dinner also had cornbread. The fish was seasoned very well, and the sides were good as well. If you are in Randallstown, check them out. Keep serving quality food.
I had our work party catered, and the food was amazing!!! Everyone loved the food. It was my first time along with other people who never ate from Southern Blues and they didn't disappoint. There wasn't not 1 thing that wasn't good. I will definitely be eating here more often lol. Thank you to the staff. Everyone Ive encountered was professional and courteous. The day of our delivery, the driver was caught in traffic, and he was going to be late, so he called to inform me and that I appreciated. Thank you all so much!!! :)
I looked at a previous review that said the greens were top tier....absolutely true. I got the beef rib and yams also. The beef ribs were "plastic fork" tender and the yams are on point as well. I'll return to try more the next time I'm in town and update if necessary. The takeout format reminds me of my grab & go spots in NY. They are fast and efficient. A few reviews mentioned they thought the prices were a little high...I disagree. Even before I tasted the food, I felt it was a fair price. After I ate, I felt I got my value and more. ... plus dessert.
